What we collect

What you send us. Your name, email address and anything else you write when you email us or contact us through this website.

Newsletter sign ups. Your email address, if you sign up for Letters from the Studio or the Atelier films.

Visit statistics. If you click Accept on the cookie notice, Google Analytics records the pages you visit, the site or search that sent you here, your general location, browser and device. It is not used to identify you personally. If you click Decline, nothing is recorded.

What we do not collect here

Nothing is sold on this website, so we never take payment details, card numbers or delivery addresses here. Prints and originals are bought on our shop, osnerartgallery.com, which has its own privacy policy.

How we use your information

To answer your question about an artwork, a commission, a class or a visit to the gallery.

To send you the newsletter, if you asked for it. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to remove you at any time.

To keep the website working and safe, and to see which pages people read.

Who else sees it

We use a few companies to run this website for us: Hostinger hosts it, MailerLite sends the newsletter, and Google Analytics counts visits when you allow it. They hold your information only for these purposes. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.

Cookies

The website uses one optional analytics cookie, and only after you click Accept. Your choice is remembered in your own browser. Films on this site play from YouTube only when you press play, and YouTube may then set its own cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time.

How long we keep it

We keep your emails for as long as we need them to help you, and your newsletter details until you unsubscribe. When information is no longer needed, we delete it.

Your rights

Under South African law, including the Protection of Personal Information Act, you may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@martinosner.com and we will deal with your request. If you are not happy with our answer, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.

Security

We take reasonable care to protect the information you send us, and we limit who can see it. No website can promise perfect security, so please do not send sensitive information, such as card numbers or identity documents, by email.

Children

This website is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information about children.

Links to other websites

Our pages link to other sites, including our shop, Osner Gallery, the Art Photography Academy, Osner Framing and YouTube. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.

We may update this policy. The version on this page is the one that applies.
